10 lucky customers will get 100% cashback on their Moto X

We reported earlier today that Flipkart might launch the Motorola Moto X in India tomorrow, March 19. Rumors also pointed to a possible Rs 23,000 ($375 / €270) price tag, though this information now seems slightly inaccurate.

The good news is that Flipkart has just confirmed that it will start taking orders for Motorola Moto X beginning March 19, as previously rumored.

However, the smartphone has been priced a bit higher than we originally anticipated, as Flipkart has announced that it will sell the Moto X for Rs 23,999 ($395 / €280).

Motorola Moto X will be available at Flipkart in five colors and two wood-back options. The wood-back Moto X has been priced at little higher, at Rs 25,999 ($425 / €305).

The price confirmed by Flipkart makes more sense and is much closer to Motorola Moto X’s price tag in the United States, where it sells for $400 (€285).

Furthermore, only the black and white versions of Moto X will be available for purchase tomorrow, while the rest of variants will be up for pre-order.

Aside from announcing the Moto X price and availability, Flipkart has also confirmed its third and last launch day offer for the smartphone. According to the retailer, 10 lucky customers who purchase the Motorola Moto X may receive 100% cashback.

Details on the first two launch day offers for the Moto X were announced yesterday, but for those who missed them, here is a short recap.

Flipkart will offer 70 % discount on Moto X cases with the purchase of the smartphone. The retailer will also offer Rs 1,000 ($16 / €12) cashback with purchases on EMI.

Keep in mind that Flipkart only stocks the 16GB version of Moto X, so if you’re looking for more storage, then you should wait for the 32GB model, which has yet to be confirmed.

Motorola Moto X does not feature microSD card slot for memory expansion, so the only way to get more internal memory is to take advantage of various free clouds services.

It is also worth mentioning that Flipkart’s Moto X stock is likely to be limited, according to the latest hearsay. Rumors claim that only 5,000 units have arrived in India this week, but more will be available in the coming weeks.

If this is true, only the first 5,000 customers who order the Moto X will receive their smartphones this week, while the rest will have to wait for the next shipment.

On the bright side, Motorola Moto X will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system right out of the box, so you won’t need to wait for an update to arrive.
