The official Flipboard app has finally arrived in the Windows Store, coming with dedicated options for both Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1.

Just like all the other versions currently available on the market, the Windows 8.1 port allows users to read news through a completely optimized for the touch interface, while also offering options to save stores, share links, topics, blogs, or sites and create your own magazines.

The app can connect to up to 12 social networks, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Google+, and is offered in 12 localized editions that include Australia, Canada, UK, US, Japan, Italy, and Germany.

Live tile support is also offered to Windows 8.1 users, so you can stay up to date with your favorite topics straight from the Start screen, without the need to launch the app.

To wrap it up, this is clearly a helpful addition to the Windows 8.1 app portfolio, so go ahead and download Flipboard to see what it brings to Microsoft’s modern platform.
