14 DAY TRIAL // Yahoo has just announced a complete redesign of its Flickr application for Android devices. In fact, the company has confirmed that its Android app has been rebuilt from ground up in order to offer a much better user experience.
According to the developers, Flickr 3.0 brings lots of new features and improvements compared to the older version, “we have completely rebuilt and redesigned the app to make it simple, beautiful, and easy to use.”
Some of the features highlighted in Yahoo’s statement include the option to save all pictures in one place and the speed with which users will now be able to capture photos and videos.
With the latest version of Flickr, Android users will be able to take advantage of new advanced editing features, such as filters and other powerful editing tools, which are available for free.
Nothing from the previous goals of the applications has been changed, such as the organization of one’s photos as best as possible, but they are now easier to achieve.
Long-time Flickr users should update to the latest version as soon as it becomes available, while new users can download Flickr for Android 3.0 for free via Google Play Store. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 2.3.3 and up.
