A new mobile application is now available for download for users of a Windows Phone 7 device, coming from Flickr, and offering fast access to the online destination.

The new mobile application was announced back in January, and arrives along with a new software for Windows 7 computers, so that those who own tablet PCs powered by the OS can enjoy its features too.

“Back in January, we let you know about some exciting mobile developments we had in store for you, and some of you may have already caught a sneak peak of the newest member of our family here at Flickr. Today, we’re excited to officially introduce Flickr for Windows 7 and Flickr for Windows Phone 7,” the company announced in a recent blog post.

The features list of the new mobile application also includes the option to share photos with friends and family via email, Twitter, Facebook and more.

Moreover, the new software would also offer users the possibility to easily upload their latest photos even when on the go, courtesy of an in-app uploader.

The features list of the new mobile application includes:

- Swipe through panoramic blades to see all your recent activity, latest uploads from your contacts and all your newest uploads. - Fully optimized for brilliant hi-resolution display. Tap on a photo to bring up a full-screen lightbox view and zoom in to enlarge and get close up on details in a photo. You’ll be able to access your photos in their original resolution, right from your mobile device! - Geo-location capabilities display your photos on an interactive, full-screen map. Also view nearby geo-tagged photos from the Flickr community on the map as well for a slightly different view of the world around you. - Easily share photos to your friends from your mobile device directly to Flickr and also from Facebook, Twitter or email

The application version designed for Windows 7 tablets comes with some other features too, Flickr explains in a recent blog post.

Through the new Flickr application for Windows Phone 7 devices, users can have their photos with them at all times. The application is available for download via the Zune portal here. A video demo of the app can be seen embedded below.
