FlickStackr, an app that brings Flickr photo sharing to the iPad, has been redesigned and updated with a bunch of new features, including Retina display support for the new iPad, 1600px and 2048px resolutions, iCloud integration, and more.

Before anyone takes the plunge, developer iPoint emphasizes that whoever is using STACKS should not upgrade to this version (2.5), “or if you do, turn OFF iCloud,” according to the company.

FlickStackr for Flickr 2.5 supports for Flickr's new iPad optimized photo sizes of 1600px and 2048px and boasts redesigned Accounts, Home and User screens.

Users can now employ iCloud to save Stacks and Accounts (iOS5 only), and longtime fans will notice improved scrolling performance on photo thumbnails and lists.

Swiping a photo in iPad landscape no longer moves to fullscreen, and if a photo is private, you will be automatically offered the option to make it public before sharing on the likes of Facebook and Twitter.

The complete release notes are humongous, but well worth the read for avid fans of FlickStackr for Flickr. For example, the documentation includes detailed explanations regarding each new feature and tweak, as well as a list of notable bug fixes (see below).
