Neat, but do the earbuds' energy last more than one hour?

Design keeps on going day by day and more new shapes and functionalities emerge from and for our most common objects so you should not be surprised (or at least not that surprised) to meet the music-powered vibrator or other interesting pieces of engineering. Well, this piece of news is not about musical vibrators but about very neat media player with a rather uncanny shape that looks Mac-inspired.[admark=1]

This flashlight-like media player comes as a very nice appearance and it could be easily mistaken for a clerk's desktop pen...a very catchy one, though. We're talking the mushroom-like base with holes in it, supposedly housing speakers and playing the role of a docking station, as some figured.

In the middle of this structure you stick a stick, it you get my meaning...the proper media player, a cylinder with a lensed cap that will allow you to project interface image, pictures or even movies on the ceiling. It looks like a lightsaber, or some other similar device but reportedly it does the job.

Controlling the player can be done by rotating the rings on the shaft - they'll act like knobs and eventually allow you to find, select and play your media. So far, no words on the type of contents it can play but everybody's thinking usual format support you now meet in any player in the category.

This player comes with a very nice set of wireless earbuds that look indeed awesome; too bad that they seem really small and this could easily translate in small batteries, hence a short operating time that would suck. A web commenter added, the overall design seems to have a lot of inspiration from earlier Mac models...you be the judge.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
