Flashlight App Hits 1 Millionth Download on Black Friday

i4software had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving as their Flashlight app reached the 1 million downloads mark on Black Friday, rather ironically, as the developers themselves put it.

The company put out a press release today announcing the milestone. They confirmed Flashlight has sold one million copies last Friday. Flashlight is a paid app that goes for $0.99 in the iTunes App Store for iPhone.

“The milestone came for FLASHLIGHT ironically on Black Friday,” said i4software.

The app was originally released in the summer of 2010 and ranks as the overall top-paid app in the iTunes App Store’s Utilities category.

On the digital distribution venue, it is described as the simplest and fastest solution of its kind. In fact, it’s said to be the only such app in the virtual store that automatically turns on when you tap its icon. It’s also the only one so many 5 Stars in the reviews.

Commenting on their feat, Michael Zaletel, CEO of i4software, remarked: "Achieving 1 million in sales on a single app is significant for i4software and gives us a great foundation for further growth, specifically for our new entertainment-related product coming in January at i4movies.com.
