Flash Player is no longer supported on mobile and hasn't been tested with Jelly Bean

Earlier this month, Adobe pulled the Flash Player from the Google Play Store. The company announced almost a year ago that it abandoned all mobile Flash development, so it wasn't a big surprise, especially since the plugin hadn't been tested with the latest Android version, Jelly Bean.

What is a big surprise though is the fact that Flash Player has resurfaced in the Play store in the UK. This isn't a scam either, the official Flash is back.

It turns out that Adobe was pressured by "strategic partners" to bring it back up since they relied on it. One of those strategic partners is presumed to be the BBC, which relies on Flash for its popular iPlayer catch-up service. The app will be available for a "short while" longer though no deadline has been confirmed.
