A new version of Flash Player 11.1 for Android is now available for download for all devices running under Android 2.2 to 3.2 platform releases.
Pushed out through the
Android Market as version 11.1.111.5, the new
Flash Player release includes a series of performance improvements, as well as various bug fixes.
According to Adobe, the new release is meant to address some issues related to security and stability.
At the same time, Adobe is moving towards releasing a new major flavor of its Flash Player for Android, one that would bring along support for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, while marking the end of platform’s development.
However, the new
Flash Player release does not offer support for Android 4.0 yet, and Adobe hasn’t offered a specific availability date for it. However, the company did say that it would be released before the end of the year.
