The game has already emerged in the Amazon App Store, but only for Amazon Fire TV

One of the mobile games to have become highly popular on mobile devices in a very short period of time was Flappy Bird, though it lived a short life, being pulled from the official app stores soon after hitting the trend.

The game’s developer said at the time that they pulled the title because it was becoming too addictive, and that they felt responsible for that.

However, not long after delisting the game, the developer also announced that a new version would be released and that it would be less addictive, while also featuring multiplayer capabilities.

That new title might arrive very soon on Android smartphones, it seems, as it has been already listed on Amazon’s app store, albeit only with support for the Amazon Fire TV for now.

The game is called Flappy Birds Family, and this is the name that it might sport once it is released in Google Play Store as well. Just as promised, it includes multiplayer capabilities.

Unfortunately, no specific info on when we might see the game released on Android has been provided as of now, although the developer did say before that it was coming in August, as Phandroid notes.

It’s also uncertain whether Amazon has managed to score exclusivity on Flappy Birds Family, and how long it would last, but more on the matter should emerge sooner rather than later, so stay tuned.
