The first Android Wear smartwatch, the LG G Watch is already shipping out to customers and the Samsung Gear Live will soon start arriving to those who have pre-ordered it.

Yesterday we saw the first custom ROM for the LG watch has been created and today I’m going to tell you about the first game that has been optimized for the Android Wear platform.

So which is the first title to arrive on Google’s new OS? Yes, you guessed it, it’s the massively overhyped Flappy Bird. Well sort of, since the app you’ll be getting is actually a clone, but there’s no surprise there, because the market has been oversaturated with this sort of things.

The app goes by the name Flopsy Droid and can already be found for download in the Google Play Store. The game follows the same concept and line of inspiration as the original Flappy Bird “saga” but has been optimized for use on a smaller screen, that of an Android Wear watch.

The developer behind Flopsy Droid uses resources from Replica Island, an open source platformer for Android which uses side-scrolling. The game is based on the libGDX engine. The dev also released the full source for the game on GitHub, so if you’re tech-savvy you could attempt to have a go at creating your own clone.
