Microsoft is one of the companies that own a huge number of applications but are forced to release patches and updates every month because the attackers are discovering vulnerabilities every day. The giant decided to release a monthly pack that contains all the patches and updates for several applications discovered in an entire month.

On December 12, Microsoft is planning to release "five Microsoft Security Bulletins affecting Microsoft Windows. The highest Maximum Severity rating for these is Critical. These updates will be detectable using the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer and the Enterprise Scan Tool. Some of these updates will require a restart.'

The giant will also launch one update for Microsoft Visual Studio with the maximum severity rating as "critical", containing patches that will require reboot of the computer.

Beside these updates, the giant will release an updated version of Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool that is also available via Windows Update, Microsoft Update and Windows Server Update Services.

"Microsoft will release four NON-SECURITY High-Priority Updates for Windows on Windows Update (WU) and Software Update Services (SUS). Microsoft will release 10 NON-SECURITY High-Priority Updates on Microsoft Update (MU) and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)," it is also mentioned in the security advisory.

As you might know, Microsoft is currently investigating an important Word issue that can allow an attacker to control a vulnerable computer and, as you can see, no Microsoft Word update is available in this archive of patches.

So, all we can do is to hope that Microsoft will release a fix soon because it is well known that the number of Microsoft Word users is huge and I don't feel so well knowing that I'm vulnerable to attacks.
