The Redmond Company has published the November 2006 Security Bulletin Advance Notification. According to it, Microsoft will produce six security bulletins on November 14 2006. Generally, the actual releases differ little from the patches presented in the Advanced Notification.

Windows is the star of the November Microsoft Patch Tuesday with five security bulletins. The Redmond Company has only informed that the highest maximum severity rating for these is Critical. Additional details will only be delivered once the security bulletins are released.

Microsoft will also patch a Critical vulnerability impacting XML Core Services 4.0 on Windows via a XMLHTTP 4.0 ActiveX Control. When announcing the flaw, the Redmond Company had also stated that it was aware of limited attack attempting to exploit the vulnerability.

"We will also be making our regular monthly update to the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool," revealed Christopher Budd, program manager at the Microsoft Security Response Center.
