A cryptic message and a picture hint to a third game

Scott Cawthon is a very prolific games developer with quite a lot of success among PC gamers. The man who created Five Nights at Freddy’s about a year ago is about to launch the third installment in the series.

Who would have thought that a game that had to go through Steam Greenlight in mid-2014 would get two sequels in the course of less than one year.

The popularity of the PC game determined Cawthon to bring Five Nights at Freddy’s to mobile platforms as well, so those who own Android, iOS and Windows Phone handsets could play it as well.

Five Nights at Freddy’s was praised by both players and the media for its simplistic design and unique approach to survival horror genre.

Those who haven’t heard about the game or simply weren’t curious enough to find out why Five Nights at Freddy’s has become so popular among PC gamers who create “Let’s Play” videos, here is a short description of what this game promises to offer.

First of all, Five Nights at Freddy’s is a point-and-click survival horror where players take the role of a night security guard who must defend themselves from malfunctioning animatronic animal characters with the help of security cameras.

Following the huge success of Five Nights at Freddy’s, Scott Cawthon has decided to release a sequel and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 dropped on Steam last year in November.

The sequel to Five Nights at Freddy’s comes with new enemies and players are now playing as different security guards, but the mechanisms of the game have been kept and new ones have been added, like the inability to access doors to close.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 might be launched sooner than anyone would have expected

Now, less than two months since the launch of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, it looks like developer Scott Cawthon is teasing the third installment in the series.

The official website of the game now features an image with the following text: “I am still here.” This might not mean too much, but upon closer inspection you will notice that the image has been named fnaf3.jpg, which is short for Five Nights at Freddy’s 3.

Hopefully, we will find out more info on Scott Cawthon’s plans for Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 soon enough, so stay tuned for more details on the matter.
