Beside being the company behind some of the world's best-known digital cameras and camcorders, Canon's product lineup also includes quite a few projection solutions, including five brand-new LCD models, that we'll talk about as follows.

The five new products announced by Canon are the LV-8225, which is the company's latest WXGA-resolution widescreen 16:10 LCD model, followed by the LV-7490, LV-7390, LV-7295 and LV-7290 models, all of which are also capable of delivering some pretty impressive features, all things considered.

As expected, these new projectors from Canon have plenty of shared features, including here extensive auto-setup capabilities, plus long lamp lives and wide-angle 1.2x zoom projection lenses for enhanced image quality, as well as manual zoom and focus controls.

Plus, they all pack plenty of connectivity and networking options, while at the same time also generating some pretty low amounts of noise while in use (around 29 dB).

Moving on to the particular features provided by Canon's new projectors, we'll have to point out that the new LV-8225 model delivers native WXGA-resolution (1280 x 800) for widescreen 16:10 images (particularly suitable for connection to a notebook), as well as a 2500 ANSI lumens brightness level.

Next in line comes the Canon LV-7490 LCD Projector model, featuring XGA-resolution (1024 x 768 pixels) and targeting mostly the educational environment.

The last three new projectors added to Canon's lineup, namely the Canon LV-7390, LV-7295, and LV-7290 LCD projectors are XGA-resolution models, all of which are capable of providing brightness levels of 3000, 2600, and 2200 lumens, respectively.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to mention that Canon's new projectors are relatively affordable, all of these new models being available in the 599 through 1099 US dollars price range (notably, the most expensive of the lot is the LV-7490, not the LV-8225, as you might have thought).
