Traditionally the machine of choice for gamers has always been the desktop computer as it offered a lot more performance than a portable computing platform as a lower cost, so for the same amount of money you could get a much better hardware. As technology advances and price tags are getting closer to the ground level, gaming on laptops looks like reality even for the average computer users who do not want to spend the rest of the year saving for a laptop.

Vigor Gaming Computer is a company focused on developing custom desktop and notebook gaming rigs and high-end peripherals and they announced the launch of a new series of portable computers which are intended to satisfy the demands of a broad spectrum of users, from entry level systems to powerful gaming machines. Now the company is shipping no less than five new models of notebooks based on the latest central processing units built by AMD and Intel and Nvidia discrete or integrated graphics solutions, while allowing users to customize their notebooks in every way they see fit.

Atlantis PRO is the name of the new flagship notebook from Vigor Gaming Computer and it is intended to be used as both a desktop replacement thanks to its huge 20 inch widescreen display as well as an ultimate gaming machine, thanks to the state of the art hardware components like the AMD AMD Turion 64 dual core mobile processor and SLI setup made by two Nvidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX graphics processing units. Never fear that you will run out of space with the Atlantis PRO as the manufacturing company loaded the notebook with two 250GB hard disk drives in a RAID 0 configuration. The next laptop in line is the Atlantis which comes with an Intel processor from the Core 2 Duo series while featuring the same Nvidia dual setup in the graphics department. Unlike the PRO version, this laptop comes with only a 17 inch widescreen display which supports resolutions up to 1920x1200. Designed to be the gaming machine of choice this laptop comes with dual programmable gaming buttons as well as a RAID 0 setup in the storage department for a combined capacity of 750GB.

Alongside the gaming targeted laptops, Vigor Gaming introduced a number of security features into some of their notebooks like the Artorius PRO, Ares PRO and Ares systems which all come with integrated fingerprint readers. The Artorius PRO is centered around the Intel Santa Rosa mobile computing platform and it comes equipped with a Centrino processor as well as a graphics card from Nvidia, the 8700M GT, which is able to handle without problems the latest games as well as graphics intensive applications. Because of the Centrino class processor, the Artorius PRO laptop is offering a high performance computing platform coupled with a high battery life. This laptop too comes with a 17-inch WUXGA (1920x1200) widescreen display and it also supports the latest wireless standards thanks to the built in Intel 4965AGN antenna.

Coming next is the Ares line of notebooks, which features the top of the line, very customizable laptop, the Ares PRO. It comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo processors, but not the mobile variety but rather the desktop intended ones, so do not expect a very long battery life when using this machine to CPU intensive tasks. Alongside the CPU line which goes up to frequencies of 2.93GHz, the Ares PRO is also equipped with a Nvidia graphics card, the 8700M GT and 2GB of DDR2 random access memory as well as an 120GB Serial ATA hard disk drive and a15.4 inch widescreen display. Ares is the last and simplest machine now launched by the Vigor Gaming company and it is intended as an entry level laptop as it comes with Intel's Core 2 Duo mobile processors and Nvidia's GeForce 8600M GT graphics with a choice of 15.4-inch 1280x800 widescreen or WSXGA+ (1680x1050) matte widescreen displays.
