BioWare has announced what special items are on offer for those who will be involved with the upcoming Dragon Age Legends video game, which will be distributed exclusively on Facebook for free in order to give all those interested a taste of how the series works.

The new items that can be obtained by playing Dragon Age Legends are:

- Ivo Family Crest: a figure etched on an gold amulet based on the original design of Paragon Ivo: - Dura's Blue Fame: a silver amulet which has en enchanted blue sapphire embedded, with an air of majesty; - Evra’s Might: a ring worn by the titular hero who defeated the famed Blood Sisters of Vehnstel, which is big enough to actually be used as a weapon for all those who favor close quarters engagements; - Air of Confidence: a ring given to Evra by the First Enchanter of the Circle of Mages at Markham, after saving them from destruction, although it's not clear what his exact properties are; - Evra's Trophy Belt: is covered with scraps of fur, armor fragments, monstrous teeth and chipped weapons, each one gained in an adventure.

BioWare has not detailed the exact bonuses that the items will be offering to players that earn them but they will probably be only significant during the early part of the game, with more powerful amulets, rings and belts obtainable as the game progresses.

At the moment, Legends is not playable and BioWare has not said when it could be released, although it will presumably arrive before the middle of March launch date of Dragon Age 2.

Gamers can currently sign up for a closed beta stage using their Electronic Arts account.

The full Dragon Age 2 experience can be enjoyed on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC and BioWare strongly encourages gamers to import a save game from the first game to get the best experience out of it.
