Come March, U2 fans will be royally treated with five different versions of “No Line on the Horizon”

Although the lineup for the upcoming studio material from legendary rock back U2 has not yet been revealed, Billboard informs, with plenty of specifics, that this new album will be a treat for fans in more ways than one. In five ways, to be more specific, which is the exact number of different versions of it that will be launched on the market.

Apparently, the marketing of “No Line on the Horizon,” set to debut internationally on March 2 and then in the US the next day, was thought of in such a way as to cover even the most demanding segments out there. Thus, aside from the standard CD and double vinyl packages, the album will also be released in three other limited editions as well, hot enough to get all collectors and real fans already hyped.

The digi-pack version will list for $35.98, and will include a “cardboard folded sleeve with a 36-page booklet,” Billboard informs, together with a poster and a “new film from Anton Corbijn featuring the music of U2,” which is also available as a download. The magazine version of the album will sell for a bit more, $49.98, and includes “a special 60-page soft cover magazine-style book” and the same downloadable film.

Last but not least, truly a delight for all collectors, the glitzy box set version, priced at $96, will come with a 60-page hardcover book, an additional poster and the Corbijn film, the same source informs us. As for the accuracy of all the details above, we’ll just have to wait until March to have them confirmed – or not, depending on the case.

Since we’re still in the realm of rumors, Q Magazine says that the tracklisting for the upcoming album includes titles such as “Magnificent,” “Stand Up,” “Winter,” “Breathe,” “Every Breaking Wave” and “Crazy Tonight,” while the album will also feature contributions from will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, of which no mention has been made so far.
