Toshiniro Nagoshi, who is a producer working on Yakuza 5 at SEGA, has confirmed that the game will allow players to control five characters during the single-player campaign and that one of them will be the underage Haruka, which will introduce a new gameplay to the series.

The developer says that Haruka will not be involved in any of the street brawls that have become one of the hallmarks of the series and that she will also be unable to visit hostess clubs and the bars that Yakuza 5 simulates.

But her inability to fight will open up new gameplay for Haruka who will be able to take part in a number of competitions based around singing and dancing in order to achieve her dream of becoming a star.

Yakuza 5 will be launched during December in Japan on the PlayStation 3 and will probably be translated and adapted for the West during 2013.
