The development team at Oxygene Media announces that its upcoming Fit Music for the Wii U will include a Fight Obesity campaign that is supported by two foundations that are aiming to improve public health.

The game is designed to introduce a number of exercises and fitness activities and tracking systems that allow gamers to evaluate their performance and their health level.

The Fight Obesity campaign will be supported by the Sbarro Health Research Organization, which is conducting research on cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and by the Human Health Foundation.

Wii Fit was one of the biggest hit on the original Wii and the addition of music is designed to make the new title from Oxygene even more attractive for players.

The Wii U has failed to generate the kind of sales that Nintendo was expecting, but the launch of new titles has the potential to change the trend in 2014.
