Fistful of Frags, a free FPS multiplayer game developed and published by Fistful of Frags Team, has been released on Steam for Linux.

Most of the games that are available for free on the Steam platform are actually free to play, and users must invest serious money in order get an advantage over the players.

“Fistful of Frags born years ago as a Wild West themed modification for Source engine. It has been completely renewed for its Steam release, paying special attention to combat mechanics. Please note that current build lacks certain features and maps from past versions, as we are hoping to continue the work once the community grows. Also note this is a completely *free* standalone mod, no micro-transactions exist, no registration required. Just install and play,” reads the official Steam website.

The Linux system requirements are quite reasonable, and most users should be able to play it: Ubuntu 12.04, a dual-core Intel or AMD at 2.8 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8 series or better (ATI / AMD Radeaon HD2600 / 3600), a broadband Internet connection, 3 GB HDD space, and an OpenAL compatible sound card.

More details about Fistful of Frags can be found on the Steam for Linux website.
