Fisherman's Challenge is a video game that was developed by Konami OSA Ltd. and was published on the Konami of America, Inc.
The game was released exclusively on the PlayStation 2 home gaming console from Sony and was launched during January 2003, one of the first games for the platform that tackled fishing as an activity.
The title can be classed as a simulation of the sport of fishing that can be played from both a first and a third person perspective.
The game is part of a line of fishing experiences created by Konami that also includes the PSOne launched Fisherman's Bait: A Bass Challenge.
The game for the then-new generation console has five different lakes to try out, each with seven types of fish to call it hope and the option to either go on specific missions or free roam.
Fish types include Catfish, Trout and Bass and each of them requires different techniques to catch.
There are 110 lures included in the game and they can be combined with more than 100 rods that the fisherman can use.
