There are a lot of people who are really in love with all sorts of animals and maybe that's why extremely wide assortments of animal-themed thingies, from toys to the most serious stuff an adult could use, are taking over the gadget market. And if you're a fish-guy, here's one neat and dead-simple techno-toy for you: the Tropical Fish Radio. Well, it's no radio from the Fish police series, true, but it's nevertheless cool: having a big blue fish on the wall of your room and listening to your fav radio show is definitely one nifty thing.

The Tropical Fish Radio is as simple as simple could ever be and it is equally suitable for your children as it is for your great-grandmother: an FM tuner, a reset button and a volume wheel.

This radio comes with a tropical fish design that is perfect for children: it looks really friendly even if the eye could be a little too "dead" for some, as it is actually the reset white button. This no-frills radio is in fact a very simple and common FM scanner, triggered by a gentle press on the tail: the device will scan for the available channels, stopping each time a good reception is found. If you want to go further, just press the tail once more and there you go.

Volume and on/off functions are controlled by rotating a small wheel easy to find behind the front panel, in the head area. The Tropical Fish Radio is powered by two AAA batteries, and judging by the features (or the lack thereof) they should guarantee a pretty long operation time. This radio is easy to install in pretty much any place and thanks to the rear-firing speaker, it is also somewhat splash-proof in case you need it for kitchen or even bathroom.

With a price tag of $14.50, the Tropical Fish Radio is one thing you could definitely buy for your summer cottage, for your kids' room and, of course, as a present for someone who is into fish.
