New Zealand was the first country that got Microsoft’s new operating system thanks to its time zone, so the first units have already been sold to those waiting in line in front of the Microsoft Store.

It appears however that Microsoft doesn’t intend to sell the Surface tablet in New Zealand as well, but Neowin writes that retailers could bring it in the near future.

There’s no accurate information on this topic however and Microsoft didn’t reveal whether it plans to bring the device in this country or not.

In the meantime, everybody expects the grand unveiling that’ll take place in New York, as Steve Ballmer will present not only the Windows 8 operating system, but also the already sold out Surface tablet.

More information on the upcoming event is available here.
