14 DAY TRIAL // Fans of the apocalypse series “The Walking Dead” no longer have to wait until October, when the show is going to return to the screens for its next season because AMC has just published the first official photo from the fifth season.
Don't expect to be blown away by this first look, as it's just meant to quench your thirst and also keep your interest alive over the summer and well into the autumn, when the survivors are making their return.
It's just a shot of main actor Andrew Lincoln, the man who's playing Rick Grimes in what looks to be the train car depicted in the season finale, which managed an impressive 15.7 million viewers. The photo does hint that Rick will eventually escape from the Terminus and see the light of day, which can only be good news.
A bearded and bloodied Rick can be seen peering out into the world, possibly looking for walkers, as he's ready to make his escape from the Terminus group. The season 4 finale hinted at this when it portrayed Rick telling them that they were messing “with the wrong people.”
It's not yet known if Rick escapes alone or together with the rest of the men and women that were captured with him. For this we'll have to wait until the next season, or until new promotional material surfaces, though that might be a while.
