In a clear bid to capitalize as much as possible on the hype around “New Moon,” the second installment in “The Twilight Saga,” Revolver announced the other day it would release a Robert Pattinson documentary in November. Now, the first trailer for “Robsessed,” the production in question, has been released, promising the first proper look “behind the curtain” of Robert’s life.

It’s a known fact by now that, a little over a year ago, few were those who knew of Pattinson’s name. For some of those few, he was the guy who played Cedric Diggory in the “Harry Potter” films, a presence one could never tire of looking at and who showed signs that he could act, if given the chance. After the first “Twilight” film, Pattinson became a household name, the one actor that everyone wanted to work with and provide with the needed opportunities to prove himself.

It is precisely this that “Robsessed” will try to deal with, promising to be the first one-hour-plus material to ever look at what has made RPatz (the name the media has tagged him with) such an international icon, from the hottest man alive to the most bankable actor of our times. From the trailer, we see the documentary will also include commentaries from industry insiders as to what keeps the Pattinson machine going, as well as images the public has never been shown before. All in all, a true treat for Robert Pattinson fans, one might as well say.

“Revolver is currently at Mipcom in France selling the film to broadcasters and home entertainment companies. It intends to release the DVD in the US and UK in November to coincide with the release of ‘New Moon,’ the second film in the ‘Twilight’ franchise. The documentary looks at the teenage phenomenon known as being ‘Rob-sessed’ and Pattinson’s rise to one of the most sought-after young actors after winning over fans and critics with his performance in ‘Twilight,’ based on the Stephanie Meyer novels.” Screen Daily was saying the other day about the upcoming release.

“Robsessed” goes straight to DVD in November. Revolver will also include the documentary in a special box-set bundled with “Haunted Airmen,” a 2006 drama in which Pattinson also stars, set for release later this year. In the meanwhile, below is the first look at the much-hyped documentary.
