NBC is taking a huge risk with its new miniseries, a 4-hour reiteration of Roman Polanski’s classic “Rosemary’s Baby.” With Zoe Saldana as lead, the new series has a first trailer now, which you will find embedded below.

The story is set in Paris, with Saldana playing wife to Patrick J. Adams. They are young and they are in love and, at one point, they decide to have a child but, as Jason Isaacs purrs in the trailer, the father will be someone else but the husband.

Vulture plays the grammar Nazi and points out, in a scathing review of the trailer, that this looks so bad that they couldn’t even get the grammar right: the correct question would have been “by whom?” not “by who?,” as Rosemary says.

As if that weren’t bad enough, there is really almost nothing too promising about the trailer. Saldana is shown wearing a lot of bad wigs, there are at least two scenes that have the fake quality of shots before a green screen, and the atmosphere seems a bit off as well.

Of course, this could be just the editing that creates this impression. We’ll see about that when the miniseries premieres “soon.”
