First Trailer for Madonna’s ‘W.E.’

Madonna has never had much success in movies, especially if one compares it to how she’s fared in music, where she’s the undeniable Queen of Pop. However, her latest film, “W.E.,” might very well change that.

The first trailer for the two-tiered love story drama has just been released and reaction to it online is extremely good.

After several attempts at launching a career as an actress, most of them trashed by critics, Madonna has reoriented herself to directing and writing: “W.E.” is a passion project.

Presenting the love story between King Edward VIII and Wally Winthrop, and that between an American and a Russian security guard, the film seems impressive from every aspect.

It has wonderful cinematography, excellent costumes and set pieces, brilliant music and strong performances – at least, if one is to judge by the trailer.

Whether the film will meet expectations set by the trailer, we’ll see on December 9, when it comes out.
