First Trailer for “Life of Pi” Is Here

A new trailer for Ang Lee's latest film, “Life of Pi,” has been released online. It might be 2D and of small resolution, but it's still indicative that this stands good odds of proving one of the most beautiful films of the year.

The Oscar-winning director certainly has an eye for beauty, which is apparent in this first official trailer.

“[Lee] creates a groundbreaking movie event about a young man who survives a tragic disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While marooned on a lifeboat, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with the ship’s only other survivor – a fearsome Bengal tiger,” reads the official synopsis.

The film also stars Irrfan Khan, Tobey Maguire, Gerard Depardieu, and Adil Hussain, and will open in theaters in the US on November 21.
