14 DAY TRIAL // It’s been years that Keanu Reeves fans have been hearing about a passion project that he’d also be turning into his directorial debut. That project is called “Man of Tai Chi” and above is the first official trailer.
It looks just like… “Mortal Kombat” with Neo.
In other words, this is a tournament film, which sees Keanu as the villain, some evil boss who plans to take a trainer martial artist and turn him into a killing machine.
The fight choreography is by Yuen Wo-Ping and looks pretty neat here but, overall, the film seems cheap. It could be just the poor quality of the trailer but, then again, it could not be that.
“Man of Tai Chi” is scheduled for release in 2013, but a date for the US is yet to be announced.
