The first thing that crosses your mind when you think about such a combo between a FPS and a RTS is "Super!". Actually, this game promises to bring such innovations that you can only wish it will turn out to be a great title. At least Refusion (this is the game's name) is willing to give it a shot, and that's exactly the thing we expect from gaming developers nowadays - trying new things.

This title brings a great concept to the game world and we are really sure more games like it will emerge after its release, scheduled for summer 2008. As we said, it is a FPS/RTS combo. But since these two genres are kind of opposite, the developers implemented a brilliant idea: there will be one player to control the RTS part of the game, while others become soldiers in that person's army and play the game like a real FPS. So teamwork and roleplaying will now get to new heights in this new media product. Isn't this something incredibly attractive?

If you still want more, you should know that the game's world extends over 1600 km2, which means that it is enormous! Also, a partial destructibility system is implemented - for instance, a car without a wheel will still be able to move. And, probably, the best thing to know about is that the games are always open, which means that players can join in whenever they want and the game's auto balance system will keep everything in order. Oh, and there will be absolutely no respawn time!

The release of the first set of screenshots proves that this game's development works fine and, what matters most to us, gamers, is that it looks good. That seems to be the opinion of Ondrej Urban, Gumpanela Entertainment's founder:

""We are very proud of the progress we have made," said Ondrej Urban, founder of Gumpanela Entertainment. "Our artists and programmers have created a huge living game world in which both classes - Masters (RTS players) and Fighters (FPS players) - confront not only opposing forces but also deadly creatures and an unforgiving environment."

The game is scheduled for a Summer 2008 release for PC only and we are really excited about it. We just hope it will turn out as least as great as it sounds.
