A new trailer has been released for Samurai Warriors 4, the upcoming hack and slash game by Tecmo Koei. The trailer shows the characters users will be able to play as, including some of their special abilities.

The video is the first release to feature gameplay footage since the game’s announcement in 2012. Tecmo Koei, developer of Samurai Warriors 4, has only released screenshots of the upcoming game so far, Siliconera informs.

The game has been confirmed to offer the possibility of character switching, similar to the one in Samurai Warriors: Chronicles on the Nintendo 3DS.

Samurai Warriors 4 will also allow users to play in a create-a-warrior mode where custom player-created characters can be used to complete quests.

The game is scheduled for release during March 2014, on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems, as announced during the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia press conference in September 2013.
