Apple is always working on something new, or several things, since it usually updates its whole product line in one go, or at least in waves.

One of the products that is slated to show up in the near future is a redesigned Mac Pro.

According to Primate Labs' Geekbench Browser, the system will use a 2.7 GHz, 12-core Intel Xeon E5-2697 CPU, and 64 GB of 1867 DDR3 RAM. The part number will be AAPLJ90,1.

Primate Labs' Geekbench Browser is known for being a popular Internet-based benchmarking site, so I assume it's highly probable for these specs to be true.

That said, the website also posted the results of the OS X 10.9 Mavericks benchmark. As the screenshot above shows, the 32-bit Geekbench score was of 23,901.

That's clearly ahead of the average 21,980 scored by current top-tier Mac Pros (two six-core Westmere Xeon CPUs at 3.06 GHz).
