As we are approaching the debut of the CeBIT computer show in Hanover, Germany, more leaked details on NVIDIA's upcoming GT200-series graphics cards surface the Internet. It now appears that we have the very first pictures of an XFX-designed GTS250 graphics card, which will likely be launched between March 3 and 8, along with the new GeForce GTS240. Both cards are expected to provide an improved performance over NVIDIA's current GeForce 9800GTX+ and GeForce 9800GT, as they will boast a 55nm graphics processing unit enabling the Santa Clara, California-based graphics chip maker to further push clock frequencies.

According to a recently published article on Chinese hardware site IT168, detailing some leaked pictures of the upcoming XFX GeForce GTS 250 graphics card, NVIDIA partners are expected to launch the new cards in time for the CeBIT show in Germany, next month. The pictured card appears to be using a custom cooling solution and a black PCB. As earlier rumors indicate, the upcoming card will boast a 55nm G92b graphics processor and provide the following clock speeds: 738/1836/1100 MHz, for the core, shader and memory, respectively. The card should deliver 512MB of GDDR3 memory with a 256-bit memory bus.

XFX and other NVIDIA partners are expected to unveil new models, with standard clock frequencies based on the upcoming GeForce GTS250 and GTS250 models. These fresh cards will likely be focused on the mainstream market segment, given the available technical details. This means that they should be offered with a rather decent price tag, somewhere in the $200 price range.

Approximately two weeks before the start of CeBIT, we are expecting that more leaked details on the new GeForce graphics cards will make their way on the Internet. On the other hand, after the release of NVIDIA's new GT200-series video cards, we are waiting for a response on part of its competitor, which has already been rumored to be planning some new HD 4000 series graphics cards.
