14 DAY TRIAL // After the November crash in which Tiger Woods was involved and that later revealed he was far from the perfect family figure he wanted to appear in the media, he and wife Elin Nordegren were not once photographed together. Since then, the golfer has apologized for his mistakes and for letting his fans down and, judging by a recent paparazzi shot, he has also managed to win his way back into Elin’s heart, as the Daily Mail informs.
The photo – the first of them together since November and on the heels of one of the biggest scandals in showbiz and sports – shows Tiger and Elin walking together in full sport gear. They’re not holding hands: on the contrary, they seem to be keeping a safe distance between them, the Mail points out. Still, the photo is the closest thing fans have of a confirmation that, indeed, rumors are true and Elin has forgiven Tiger for his infidelity and they are working on saving their marriage.
“Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren have been seen together for the first time since his multiple affairs became public knowledge. The couple were photographed walking near their home in Windermere, Florida, following reports that Woods has moved back in with his wife. It came as the shamed golfer announced he is to return to golf after a four month break caused by a scandal that linked him to a dozen mistress,” the Mail writes.
“Ms. Nordegren, 30, is said to have put on hold plans to divorce her errant husband and help him re-build his shattered life. The golfer was linked to at least 12 women following a late night car crash outside his £1.7million home in the exclusive Isleworth estate near Orlando, Florida last November. […] Woods’ tearful apology in which he said he was ‘selfish and foolish’ was seen as [a] major step to any reconciliation with his wife,” the tab goes on to say.
Speaking of the public apology, it was one of the most mediated statements of the kind back in February this year, precisely because the entire world wanted to see how Woods would handle the very delicate matter, on which his entire career was dependant, as many saw it. It aired live on several channels around the world and, sadly, the consensus was that it came across as very fake and rehearsed – but it would seem that it worked just perfectly in terms of convincing Elin.
