The game is still under development, but you can already buy it

Glitchspace, a first-person programming game developed and published by Space Budgie, has been released on Steam for Linux.

Even though there are many first-person shooters already launched on the Linux platform, this has to be the first FPS programming game. Granted, it's still in the Steam Early Access program and it will take a while until it becomes stable, but you can buy and play the Linux version right now. You might encounter some bugs, but it will be worth it.

“We created a node-based programming system for Glitchspace, called Null. Null allows for chunks of functionality to be applied to objects with ease, and makes the programming a visual, dynamic, and instantaneous feature. Objects in Glitchspace are either programmable, or non-programmable. You can make an object programmable through decryption using a decrypter, and similarly you can make it non-programmable through encryption using an encrypter,” reads the official Steam website.

It's interesting to see that even the developers have a problem describing their game, but this is not as complicated as you might think.

The Linux system requirements for Glitchspace are actually quite reasonable. All you will need is a Debian-based Linux distro, a 1.0Ghz dual-core processor, 250 MB of RAM, a 512MB video card with Shader Model 3.0 support, and 150MB of HDD space.

Check the official website for more details about this game.
