Looking better than ever

Rockstar has revealed the first screenshots officially taken from the PC version of Episodes from Liberty City, the extra content for Grand Theft Auto IV set to arrive on April 13 on the North American market and three days later in Europe. On the same dates, those who picked GTA IV for the PlayStation 3 home gaming console from Sony will be able to get access to the same content.

Episodes from Liberty City is made up of two distinct packages. The first one, in chronological order, is The Lost & Damned, which stars Johnny Klebitz, a new main character who is a leading member of The Lost, the most fearsome biker gang in Liberty City. He has to deal with the return of former leader Billy Grey and with the fallout resulting from it. The Lost & Damned was initially launched on the Xbox 360 on February 19, 2009.

The Ballad of Gay Tony was outed, also exclusively on the Xbox 360, on 29 October 2009. The main character again shifts, this time to Luis Fernando Lopez, a tough guy who recently joined the Dominican drug dealers and now serves as Anthony’s bodyguard, aka “Gay Tony” Prince. This second piece of DLC introduces some pretty over the top possibilities to GTA IV, including base jumping and helicopter gunships.

It might have taken quite a bit of time to see Episodes from Liberty City come to the PC but judging by the two screenshots attached to this article, it was well worth it. The textures seem to have been updated and the overall look of the game is much smoother than on the Xbox 360. Add to this the ability to control the game with a mouse and keyboard and the new PC release will be the definitive way to enjoy Grand Theft Auto IV.
