Hollywood is becoming increasingly interested in fairy tales: not only are there two different “Snow White” movies in the making, but there's also a “Hansel and Gretel” one. The first official photo for this last one is out.

Starring Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner as leads, but also Peter Stormare and Famke Janssen as the villains, “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” picks up many years after the incident in the forest presented in the fairy tale.

Now, the two siblings are all grown up and work as witch hunters, as the title clearly implies. The first official pic should offer fans a good idea of how they're supposed to look like.

Overall, the both Jeremy and Gemma cut an impressive figure, dressed up as they are in leather from head to toe and carrying impressive weaponry. Their outfits are modern and fairy tale-like at the same time.

One thing that doesn't quite sit well in all this is the (more or less obvious) age difference between the two: Renner is 40 and Arterton just 25, when they're supposed to be about the same age.

Directed by Tommy Wirkola, “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” is out in theaters in March 2012.
