First Look has the first official photo from Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated new film, “Interstellar,” which will be out in theaters in November this year. The still, with Matthew McConaughey, Timothée Chalamet, and Mackenzie Foy, is meant to drum up interest in the film even more, as the countdown has begun to the release of a new trailer.

It will drop with Gareth Edwards’ “Godzilla,” out in theaters next week, but it’s probably safe to assume it will be released online as well after that.

In this new pic, McConaughey is seen holding a model of the lunar lander used in 1969. However, what’s more interesting is the text that comes with, with some quotes from production designer Nathan Crawley.

He says Nolan sought him out to ask him if he’d be interested in making a “movie about black holes, relativity, gravity, and their effect on time.” He also says that he’d rather he didn’t reveal too many details of the film because they want fans to get a better feel of it through the trailer.

However, he adds that “ultimately, it’s this very human story about a father and a daughter,” while producer Emma Thomas says that “it emphasizes… mankind’s destiny in the universe.”

“Interstellar” also stars Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, Wes Bentley, Matt Damon, and Topher Grace.
