Mobile gaming has proved to be more and more addictive in the last few years, as it has become capable of providing higher performances. We now have better graphics, more challenges and even a gaming championship for mobile games.

Few understand the high amount of skills that people might need in order to perfectly master a mobile game. For the passionate ones who make from mobile gaming an absolute challenge, McDonalds will host The Midnight Gaming Championship across the US.

There will be more than 50 tournaments taking place in cities across the US at the same time. All contestants will compete on The Fast and the Furious: Fugitive mobile game.

"Gamers really enjoyed the mobile phone demos at the 2006 Championship event, so it made sense to turn that into a full-blown mobile phone gaming competition", said Bryan Pettigrew, president, Affinity Sports & Entertainment Marketing.

Moreover, David Gosen, CEO of I-play said that "I-play is excited to bring the first ever mainstream mobile gaming tournament to the Midnight Gaming Championship". Their decision to take part in this year's edition of the tournament comes as a result of a long term collaboration: "We partnered with the Championship last year in its debut and are proud to partner with them once again to make this tournament a success".

There are thousands of prizes prepared for the contestants of this competition. We are talking about cash awards and some special subscriptions. For the gaming passionates, there will also be at stake a three month, three-out membership to GameZnFlix and a one year subscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly. Even more, I-play will also offer The Fast and the Furious DVD and round trip airfare to Dallas with one-night hotel stay for the grand championship which will take place in October.
