The development team at Blizzard working on Diablo III has suggested that it is working on a patch for the game, the first one to be launched after the game was released, that could be ready as soon as next week.

The patch is designed to “further address client issues and apply additional bug fixes” and will work together with smaller fixes and server side upgrades that Blizzard is also implementing in order to create a better overall Diablo III experience.

The company is also working on a solution to the bug that prevents gamers from earning Achievements, although it’s not clear whether the fix will be ready for the patch that arrives next week.

Blizzard is also quietly delaying the launch date for the real-money Auction House feature, saying that the new date of May 29 was too optimistic and that it needed to make sure that the infrastructure was solid before allowing players to use real money to get access to items.

More information about the real money Auction Houses is promised soon.

Gamers have recently been hearing about potential security breaches linked to Diablo III, but Blizzard says that its security has not been compromised and that there’s no reason not to trust the Blizzard Authenticators.

Diablo III has quickly become the bestselling PC based video game in the world , moving more than 6.3 million copies to interested players.

But the game has also been affected by a number of problems when it was launched, with a lot of players unable to connect to Battle.net due to Error 37.

Blizzard has since improved server capacity and has increased the stability of the game, but it’s unlikely to deliver real-world Auction Houses or any more content until it squashes all bugs and makes sure that the game runs smoothly 24/7.
