First Look at Villain in “Thor: The Dark World”

Just days after fans were treated to plenty of photos of the handsome Chris Hemsworth in Thor costume on the set of “Thor: The Dark World,” comes another set of pictures, this time of the villain.

Slash Film has them all, but you can see one of them in full by clicking on the image above.

As fans know, in the first “Thor,” the God of Thunder went up against his own brother, Loki. This time, the aforementioned e-zine also notes, he’s facing a much bigger challenge.

The dude in the photo above is Malekith the Accursed, ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, as played by Cristopher Eccleston. He doesn’t seem to be in a joking mood.

The official synopsis of the film also says that the enemy Thor will be going up against is bigger than any other before.

“Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos… but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness,” it says.

“Thor: The Dark World” is now shooting in London, and will be out in theaters on November 8, 2013.
