14 DAY TRIAL // As if dealing with the unexpected news that his wife Katie Holmes filed for divorce while he was out of the country, Tom Cruise is also leaking – trailers, that is. Above is a first look at his “Jack Reacher.”
The trailer is in Russian and in very poor quality, but it still tells us one thing: Cruise is definitely back in the game as an action movie star.
By the looks of the clip, which bears a very striking resemblance to “Drive” with Ryan Gosling, there will be car chases, plenty of violence and gore, and muted, murky tones.
The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and stars Werner Herzog, Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, Robert Duvall and Michael Raymond-James. It will be out on December 21.
