Not long ago, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” said he had big plans for his future, including forays in fashion, cinema and even music. He wasn’t joking.

The man who made bearing your abs in public cool again (assuming it ever was) and who helped coin the GTL (gym tan & laundry) term, is preparing for the release of his own fashion line.

Since we’re talking The Situation here, it’s safe to guess that the upcoming collection will be marked by heavy influences from his own personal style, which probably means lots of open-neck shirts, wifebeaters and funky pants.

Judging by a photo The Sitch posted on his Facebook page, one thing is certain: his designs will also feature some Ed Hardy-like type of intricate designs, including rhinestones and vivid colors.

A pic uploaded on Sorrentino’s Facebook page shows one of his friends rocking a white tank top with “The Situation” written in sparkly silver letters and with rhinestones. Chains are also added for more effect.

“check out a sneak of my soon to be released, hot to death, SITUATION DILLIGAF TANK TOP on my dawgg Jonny Manfre, better known as “Johnny the Unit”- find it in the near future, as well as my whole line on my soon to be dropped website OfficialSituationon dilligafusa,” The Sitch writes.

However, fans looking to dress like him mustn’t despair because the items will also become available in classic brick and mortar stores, to which he only refers as “cool stores across the world.”

“Uncool” stores will not carry The Sitch’s clothing range, one might as well say. More details on the upcoming line are not yet available.

At the end of June this year, the reality star was talking about his many projects, saying no one should worry about his 15 minutes of fame being up. He wasn’t going anywhere, he said.

Aside from the fashion range, Sorrentino is also trying to make a name for himself in the music industry, releasing so far a rap song also called “The Situation” and reportedly working on a musical collaboration with Enrique Iglesias.

He’s also not ruling out the possibility of doing feature films sometime in the future, because he has absolutely no intention of being limited to reality television for much longer.

“This is just a way into the door for me. Reality is a stepping stone for me. Being one of the biggest names in reality or the country or the world or whatever, I definitely want to start moving into scripted and films in another year or two,” Sorrentino was saying a short while ago.
