First Look at Ryan Gosling in “The Place Beyond the Pines” – Video

“The Place Beyond the Pines” is one of the most hyped film projects of the year and Ryan Gosling’s involvement in it explains it only partially. These two new videos will only add to the ongoing hype.

Also starring Eva Mendes and Bradley Cooper, the film sees Gosling play a stunt bike driver who turns to bank robbing when his career reaches a dead end.

Cooper is the rookie cop who swears to put him behind bars, but their conflict goes unresolved for years and even spills into the next generation.

So, we have Gosling and a really exciting, promising story to account for all the hype. The other reason is director Derek Cianfrance, who is helming it.

Considering his most recent hit was “Blue Valentine” (also with Gosling), it now makes sense why everybody’s saying “The Place Beyond the Pines” is a possible future Oscar candidate.
