“Citizenfour” picked up Best Documentary Feature at the Oscars 2015 last month, but chances are you haven’t seen it yet, unless you have a keen interest in the story of the most famous whistleblower in history, NSA’s Edward Snowden.

A fictionalized story about Snowden’s life and his decision to go public with NSA documents is also in the works, with famed director Oliver Stone at the helm. This won’t be a big Hollywood production, but it has plenty of solid actors on board, so you may want to check it out when it drops in theaters this December.

Starring as Snowden is Joseph Gordon-Levitt, whose involvement was officially confirmed last November. He is now shooting scenes in Munich and has posted a photo of himself in character on his Facebook. You can see it below.

The one above was released by Open Road Pictures, which is financing and distributing.

“Snowden” is based off a script by Stone and Kieran Fitzgerald, which in turn is based on two books: Luke Harding’s “The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man” and Anatoly Kucherena’s “Time of the Octopus.”

It stars Shailene Woodley, Zachary Quinto, Melissa Leo, Timothy Olyphant, Nicolas Cage and Tom Wilkinson. Even if I’m not big on movies of this type, the cast alone will get me in a theater to see it.
