“Harry Potter” fans whose curiosity was far from quenched with the first part of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” need to hang on just for a while longer: reports suggest a first teaser for the upcoming film, the last in the franchise, will arrive in January.

In fact, reports cited by MuggleNet say fans have a little over a month to go until they get the very first look at the final installment in the series, with the teaser believed to drop on January 24.

Since the last “Harry Potter” film has been converted to 3D, that means it will come attached to some other 3D theatrical release – though what this may be is yet to be determined.

“Keep this in the rumor category for now, but we want to share it with you because visitors in the past have scooped trailer release info,” MuggleNet writes.

“MuggleNet visitor and tipster Brandon tells us the first trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 will be released Tuesday, January 24th,” the e-zine further says.

“Though we couldn’t peg any film that the trailer may be attached to, a Part 1 and 2 trailer was released about five months before Part 1 was released. So a trailer six months ahead of Part 2 would roughly follow procedure,” the same report further says.

Confirmation for this is still pending, but it seems the rumor is spreading fast – and, more importantly, that it’s being taken for accurate: the trailer will be released next month.

As we also noted on a previous occasion, even if part 1 of the final film wasn’t released in 3D as initially announced, it still managed to make history at the box office, being the biggest opener in the entire franchise, a feat that seemed quite hard to attain.

In 10 days of release, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1” made over $220 million in all territories. The amount is expected to be even bigger for Part 2 because of premium 3D tickets.
