One of the projects now in production in London that already has fans on the edge of their seats is “Jupiter Ascending” from the Wachowski brothers, who previously penned and directed the “Matrix” trilogy.

Above is a first, completely unofficial look at one of the two leads in the film, played by Channing Tatum.

If you’re having trouble recognizing People’s hottest man alive, that’s because he’s sporting a bleached beard and eyebrows, lots of pale makeup and pointy ears.

Tatum explained some time ago that he’d be playing a hybrid.

“I’m a splice, splices are essentially built in a test tube. I’m a hybrid wolf and human. And half albino, so I’m a little defective,” he said, as I also reported at the time.

“Jupiter Ascending” also stars Mila Kunis and is scheduled for release on July 25, 2014.
