Not even Brad Pitt is immune to the zombie frenzy that’s sweeping Hollywood but, admittedly, he wanted to do something different from the dozens of films with the undead. The result was “World War Z,” which will get a full trailer later this week.

Meanwhile, we have the footage below to keep us going, courtesy of ET, as well as the official teaser poster (click on the image above to see it in full).

“World War Z” tells the story of a family caught in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, with the focus apparently more on how they learn to cope with it and survive, than on the monsters and the gruesome acts of violence they’re usually prone to.

You really can’t tell much of the film from the few seconds’ worth of footage, except that it’s pretty obvious that the armies of zombies have a certain computer-generated quality about them, especially in the way they move.

“World War Z” was a very difficult project from the start, going into reshoots some time ago, months after it was believed to be done. This could explain it.

The film will be out in 2013, but keep an eye on this space for the official full trailer.
