In an older interview, taken shortly after he was confirmed for “Star Trek: Into Darkness,” Benedict Cumberbatch joked that he was having a hard time getting movie roles because of his peculiar looks. Turns out, he’s been busier than ever.

2013 is definitely the Year of the Cumberbatch: he has 5 big movies coming out in theaters, including “Star Trek,” and he’s also working on a variety of projects.

One of them is “The Imitation Game,” which is now shooting in London. The photo above is of Benedict on set, looking transformed but just as (strangely) beautiful.

He plays English mathematician and logician Alan Turing, and will star opposite Keira Knightley and the unmistakable Mark Strong.

“The Imitation Game” comes out in 2014 but, until then, keep an eye out for Benedict in “12 Years a Slave,” “The Fifth Estate,” “August: Osage County” and “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.”

The Daily Mail has more photos of Cumberbatch on set.
